Donate a Pattern
- Q: How do I donate a pattern?
- A: Open our donation form and follow the prompts. You'll be given the option either to upload your pattern there, or else to link to your pattern or send it via email.
- Q: How do I know if my pattern is accepted?
- A: You'll receive an email from us within a few days of submitting your pattern to let you know it was accepted. If there are any issues with the submission-- say, if there's a glitch in the upload process-- we'll let you know then as well.
- Q: Can I donate an existing pattern? Or does it have to be a new one?
- A: Both new and existing patterns are welcome in the bundle! The only restrictions are that it has to be a work made by you, that you own the rights to, and that it cannot be a pattern that is available for free elsewhere.
- Q: If I donate a pattern to the bundle, is it all right if I still keep it up for sale in my shop while the fundraiser is running?
- A: Certainly!
- Q: Can I donate more than one pattern?
- A: Yes you can! Up to a maximum of ten patterns per person.
- Q: Can I donate a diamond painting/hand embroidery/knitting/crochet/sewing pattern to be in the bundle?
- A: Sorry, but this bundle is for cross-stitch patterns only. If you're interested in putting together a similar fiber-arts-themed fundraiser, though, feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to link you to some of the resources we're using!
- Q: Can I donate a pattern if I'm not a professional designer?
- A: Absolutely! Whether it's your first pattern or your five hundredth, we'll be happy to include your creation.
- Q: Will pattern-makers receive a copy of the finished bundle?
- A: Yes, they will, along with our heartfelt thanks. ♡
- Q: Wait, are you going to be selling the patterns?
- A: Absolutely not! Donors will be giving money directly through GoFundMe. They'll then email a proof of donation to the Cross Stitch For Gaza team, and be emailed back a ZIP file containing the pattern bundle. No money will be exchanged with the Cross Stitch for Gaza Team at any time.
- Q: What if I send in a pattern, and then change my mind? Or need to correct an error in the pattern?
- A: All corrections and removals can be done via email-- just drop us a line at "CrossStitchForGaza (at) gmail.com" and we'll get it sorted. The deadline for both is March 29ᵗʰ, 2025.
- Q: If I plan to make a monetary donation, should I wait to do it until the bundle is complete?
- A: You do not have to wait to donate, but don't send in your receipt yet! Once receipt collection opens (on April 4th, 2025), any donation receipt of €15 or more dated from March 7ᵗʰ, 2025 to April 25ᵗʰ, 2025 will be able to be sent in to receive a copy of the pattern bundle.
- Q: I don't make cross-stitch patterns, but I still want to help! What needs doing?
- A: Spread the word! Tell your friends, post on a cross-stitch group, message a designer you follow.
We have some shareable images available on our site that you are welcome to use.
And if you have money to spare, every donation, no matter how small, can help Hadeel and her family as they save up to escape into Egypt.
